How we met: we were both in the police academy. Brandon was nervous to talk to me so he asked me about a homework assignments due date (he later said the assignment was already done but he needed an excuse to talk to me). Right away we hit it off and we spent our first date shooting guns, eating pizza and watching police videos all night long.
How we got engaged: we went for a hike at Pattison State Park. After getting lost on the trails we finally found our way to the waterfall. Once at the waterfall Brandon said we should take a "selfie". I pulled my phone out, told him my arms were too short and I couldn't get the waterfall in the background. I told him we should ask some people to take our photo that were near us but but wouldn't let me. I turned around and he was on one knee. Turned out the people I wanted to ask were my best friend and her mother (who is a photographer and a second mother to me).
